The Todos Santos Inn is a real gem. If you ever needed an excuse to visit this much talked about but still authentic Baja town then this is it. The Inn’s quality accommodations are full of period charm and comfortable elegance that serve as a luxurious base for excursions into the area’s desert landscapes and Pacific beaches. It’s an ideal escape from the commercialized Capes and even a few days will leave you with a taste of the real Mexico.
Romantics will love the hotels new suites, lavishly decorated and very tranquil accommodations, each with a private terrace. The standard rooms have also been furnished with a care and attention to detail that is rarely found in larger establishments.
A small swimming pool has also been added recently, and there is also a welcoming new wine bar.
Room rates generally include continental breakfast, but no other meals are served. This isn’t a problem though, as the small town is home to a surprisingly good range of restaurants including the Cafe Santa Fe (probably the best Italian eatery in southern Baja and another good excuse for a visit.) The Cafe Todos Santos, just across the road from the hotel, also serves delicious deli-style sandwiches, pastries and great coffee.
To start your evening The Inn’s own Wine Bar is one of the prettiest places to visit and has a serious selection of vintages.
Whether you’re planning a few days’ excursion from the major resorts or a full exploration of the peninsula, this is a great place to stop. Even if you’re just in search of a peaceful location to read a good book (or maybe write one!), you’ll find the Todos Santos Inn is the perfect retreat.
It’s delightful to find such charming and high quality accommodations in quaint Todos Santos. Each room has been painstakingly restored, then furnished in such a grand and elegant style that guests can imagine themselves in some splendid mansion house.
There are two Standard Rooms, furnished with either one king or two queen beds, and these rooms open onto a lovely courtyard terrace. The two Junior Suites also have one king or two queen beds, and have a bathroom with separate tub and shower. The most indulgent quarters are the four Garden Suites. These wonderfully spacious suites feature split level sitting areas and private terraces.

We love the romantically draped beds and soaring beamed ceilings but it is the little details that make all the difference – incredibly comfortable mattresses and quality bed linen; antique writing desks and just the right level of lighting.
Both Terrace Rooms open onto a lovely courtyard terrace. Furnished with tables for morning coffee it also acts as a delightful informal lounge. Bathrooms for all the rooms are very well appointed, with large walk-in showers and brass fittings. The rooms are naturally cool, but the air-conditioning and large ceiling fans may be useful during the summer months.
The two Junior Suites are a little larger than the Terrace Rooms, though they have similarly elegant furnishings. They have either one king or two queen size beds, plus a sofa. These suites open onto the lovely, large courtyard terrace that is shared with the two Terrace Rooms.
Both Junior Suites have a bathroom with both a shower and a bathtub.
The Inn’s Garden Suites are incredibly romantic. These light and airy rooms have four poster king size beds and beautiful antiques, with a soothing combination of mellow wood, old terracotta tiles and soft cream rugs. Each has a living area, individually furnished as if in a private home, that is both elegant and comfortable. The Suites are all located in the lush, tropical gardens of this pretty hotel and have private patios.
A small but enticing swimming pool has now been added to the property. Surrounded by tropical plants and with a secluded courtyard setting, the pool has proved very popular with guests. The pool is heated and there are deep-cushioned lounge chairs nearby for sunbathing.
The Inn’s wine bar, La Copa, is the perfect place to start your evening in Todos Santos. There’s plenty of comfortable seating in the delightfully furnished bar area or outside on the patio. An extensive selection of wines by the glass or by the bottle are available, and the speciality cocktails are recommended too!
How to get here
By air
The closest airport is at La Paz, about 55 miles away, and the journey by car takes about 70 minutes. Los Cabos International Airport is 75 miles / 85 minutes way.
Driving directions
Entering the town on highway #19 from Cabo San Lucas, follow this road into town and turn right on Av. Collegio. Then take a left on Av. Marques de Leon.
Legaspi should be the third turning on your right (after Centenario)
You’ll find the hotel on your left, at the corner of Calles Legaspi and Topete.
