In a nutshell:
Beachfront gem, right in the heart of lively Playa del Carmen. The studios and One bedroom suites have kitchenettes and most have ocean views. The regions extensive sightseeing and activities are easy to reach from this central location.
There are dozens of hotels in Playa del Carmen, but not so many that are set right on the beach in the heart of town and offer most of their rooms with an ocean view. Playa Palms is ideal for a short or long stay, since their studios and suites have kitchenettes and refrigerators as well as a spacious terrace to enjoy al fresco lunches or sunset cocktails.
This hotel has many repeat guests who enjoy the conviviality of the compact grounds. It’s easy to chat to neighbors across the terraces and share restaurant recommendations or sightseeing tips. If you’re looking for more privacy then the ocean front studios are the best choice.
There are dozens of restaurants just a short stroll away, so guests can enjoy a different setting for dinner every day. A complimentary continental breakfast is currently offered at the adjacent property, where you can enjoy coffee and sweet rolls right on the beach, with your feet in the sand. For early risers, each room has a coffee maker so you can enjoy your favorite brew without leaving your bedroom.
In the morning, the beach is just a few steps from your room, and an early morning stroll by the sea is the perfect start to a day. The shady pool offers refuge from the sun’s strongest rays, and in the evening all the activities along Playa’s famous 5th Avenue are close by. Despite the very central location and proximity to some of Playa del Carmen’s most popular nightlife venues, a good nights sleep is easily achieved due to the new and very effective soundproofing in the rooms.
One aspect that really makes a difference to your stay is the friendly service at the Playa Palms. The hotel is small enough for the staff to remember guests’ names and provide helpful information for first time visitors. We reckon that it’s the service as much as the location that keeps guests returning year after year.
Playa Palms has a versatile range of rooms to suit most requirements. In town just for a few days? The Garden studios are comfortable and place you in the heart of this vibrant city. The Ocean Front Studios are the most sought after for couples and honeymooners, offering memorable views of the Caribbean and the white sand beach. Ocean View studios are set slightly back from the sea and are spacious enough for a long stay. For families, the One bedroom suites give parents the freedom of separate sleeping quarters, and space to prepare simple meals at their own schedules.
All rooms except the Garden Studios have discrete kitchenettes that are ideal for fixing a quick lunch or preparing a special cocktail at sunset.

The One bedroom suites at Playa Palms are located on the second and third floors of the hotel, and towards the rear of the property, with their bedrooms overlooking the street. The hotel is located on a minor road in town, so the road isn’t noisy, and the windows are well soundproofed.
These suites are ideal for families with young children as they have a bedroom and a separate sitting room with a sofa bed. They also have a terrace with outdoor seating, so parents can enjoy the balmy air whilst children are having a nap.

Playa Palms is located right on the beach in the heart of town. The hotel has beach chairs and sun loungers with parasols for guests use. There are beach bars close by where guests can enjoy tropical cocktails if they like, but the section of soft white sand outside the property feels all the more exclusive and private for not having food and drinks service.
