The Beach House, as its name suggests, is located on the beach. This doesn’t take away from its privacy however, as the owners have thoughtfully planted shrubbery in front of it. It is also located closest to the main building, so you don’t have to go far for your margaritas and cold beers!

Due to the proximity to the beach and the additional child’s bed, the Beach House is a favorite with couples with a young child. It’s possible to watch children playing on the beach from the deck, and the casita is within earshot of the restaurant, so parents aren’t restricted to staying in the casita with their children in the evenings.

This casita has a double bedroom and a small bedroom with single bed, ideal for a child. It also has a large living area with a wrap around terrace. As with all casitas there is a hammock on the terrace, where you can laze looking out to the Ocean if the sun gets too strong!  The Beach House has a conventional indoor bathroom with shower.

The deck of the house is a great place to relax; you have the pleasures of the gorgeous beach and the ocean, all in the privacy of your own shaded terrace. You’ll find your hammock strung up positioned perfectly for a siesta, with a spectacular view from dawn to dusk.

Chula Vista – or ‘pretty view’ is a truly understated name! Set higher up than the other casitas, nestled in amongst the trees, this casita has an amazing view of the whole resort and Majahuitas’s beach.  This casita boasts one of Majahuitas’ wonderfully rustic outdoor bathrooms, from here whilst in the shower you can enjoy a beautiful view in complete privacy – an unforgettable experience.

Chula Vista offers a romantic King size four post bed – from here you can lie back and enjoy the ocean view if you wish. It also has a built in couch which folds down and makes an ideal bed for a child. There is a small living area with the standard Majahuitas hammock in prime position looking out to sea.

Sunset House with its two bedrooms and spacious living area is ideal for families. Its location nestled high up in the trees allows the casita amazing views of the water and passing boats.

Sunset House has two bedrooms adjacent to each other, one with king bed and the other with queen bed, making it ideal for families or two couples sharing. As with all the casitas at Majahuitas, you can enjoy a stunning sea view from your hammock on the balcony if the stresses of beach life just get too much!

From the terrace of Sunset House you can watch the activity on the beach and even spot passing dolphins, whales or manta rays. And, as its name implies, the sunsets are incredible.

This casita enjoys a wonderful outdoor bathroom, a place where you can truly feel at one with nature whilst taking a shower (yet still very private).

Los Mangos, named after the hotel’s nearby mango trees, has three bedrooms: a king size bed both upstairs and downstairs, plus a small single room upstairs (ideal for a family traveling with a nanny). There is a small bathroom upstairs, and a full tiled bathroom with shower downstairs. There is also a large sitting area which receives a gentle breeze from the trees in front, a great place to cool off on a hot day.

The downstairs bedroom in casita Los Mangos has a canopied king bed and large windows (one of which is open to the sea breezes). This casita has a large tiled bathroom downstairs and a separate and spacious living room where guests can enjoy their morning coffee.

Two further bedrooms are upstairs, along with a half bathroom. One bedroom has a king bed, and one has a double bed. Both bedrooms have walls open to the breezes, surrounded by a large patio that enjoys beautiful views of the sea through the trees.

Jungle House has a wonderful swing bridge as access and lots of tropical character. This is the only casita with a palapa style roof and has a mostly wood interior.  Jungle House feels very private as you are surrounded only by trees and the sound of the waves.

The Swiss Family Robinson would have felt perfectly at home here in the Jungle House! It has a king size bed downstairs, along with a double bed in a loft room accessible by a ladder – which is fantastic for children as it has a real sense of adventure.  There’s also a spacious sitting area with hammock – from here you can see sand, palm trees and the ocean. The bathroom is of a conventional style – tiled with a shower cubicle.

Casita Bouganvilia is a romantic casita with a king bed. It is set back on the hillside with wonderful views of the beach and ocean. This is a very open-style casita, with a spacious living room and elevated sleeping area.
This casita has its own special bridge and flower-decked walkway as access; but is only a short walk from the beach.

Casita Bouganvilia has a large living area and terrace that catches the sun in the morning and has wonderful views of the beach and the ocean. As the sun and the heat rise, the hammock becomes an enticing and shady place to relax and enjoy the sea breezes.  The casita has an elevated sleeping area with a canopied king size bed divided from the living area by a curtain. The bathroom has a tiled shower with a lovely ocean view.  The terrace in casita Bouganvilia is the perfect place to enjoy the early morning coffee that’s delivered to your room. The view of the bay is breathtaking.

Los Arcos is situated on the far corner of the beach, and is a great place for families or two couples sharing. This casita has its own private patio area for soaking up the sun.  The living area is open to the sea breezes and is just a few feet above the beach at the far end of the bay.

Los Arcos has two identical bedrooms, each with a canopied king bed. At the far end of each bedroom is a spacious bathroom with wall shower, whilst a sunny living area connects the two bedrooms. This means that two couples can share the casita and retain their privacy and enjoy plenty of space.

There are two spacious, tiled bathrooms in Los Arcos – each attached to a bedroom – that are completely separate from one another. There is a shower cubicle with single vanity unit, and both have large, open windows that allow you plenty of opportunity to enjoy your tropical surroundings.  And of course, each bedroom has a glorious sea view!

Cliff House is the newest and largest of the casitas at Majahuitas. Its location, high on the cliff, affords this casita breathtaking views but also means that it is not suitable for those who don’t want to climb many steps, and the sheer drops from the terraces means that it is also unsuitable for families with young children.

It has three bedrooms, one with a king, the second with a queen and a third attic bedroom with two twin beds that can also make a king. Consequently, it can accommodate up to 6 people. Guests staying in Cliff House have the option of dinner in their casita, if they choose not to go down to the restaurant (room service is not available in the other casitas).

Cliff House is a favorite with many repeat guests at Majahuitas, but because of its unique properties it will only be allocated to those specifically requesting this casita.

Cliff House has a spacious living area open to the sea breezes, with plenty of room for a family group to relax and dine. Bedroom one, with a king bed, is just to the right of this photograph and bedroom two, with a queen bed, is in the background.

The queen bedroom has a bed that is partly built into the rocks. It also has an en-suite half bathroom. The main bathroom is accessed from the living area (and also directly from the second bedroom) and has a large tiled shower. Cliff House also has an outdoor shower with a great view.

The loft ladder leads to a third bedroom with two twin beds that can be converted to a king. The stairs and walkway above the living area provide access to a delightful balcony with a birds-eye view of the resort and the cove. The outdoor shower at Cliff House is accessed from the terrace and enjoys amazing views of the pretty cove.
