Celestun Nature Reserve covers a huge area of coastal wetlands and is home to hundreds of species of birds and wildlife, including the beautiful and unforgettable pink flamingo.
Boat tours can be arranged in Celestun or at many of the hotels in the area. In addition to flamingos, you’ll have chance to experience the fascinating eco-system of the mangroves, maybe even spotting a crocodile or two.
