Park, zoo and museum, home of the colossal Olmec heads
Most visitors come to la Venta to see the giant Olmec heads, which date from around 700 BC. The park of La Venta also has other artefacts from the nearby archaeological site of la Venta, which was threatened by petroleum exploration, and also a zoo.
